 Of all things desired by man, peace of mind is the most important. Neither health nor wealth, neither fame nor can status be a substitute for this most valuable asset. Many people are apparently in good health and yet they feel miserable because their mind is not at peace. A man may accumulate an immense fortune but, in the absence of mental peace, he cannot enjoy it. Yoga exercises solve this problem.

 मनुष्याने इच्छित सर्व गोष्टींपैकी, शांतता ही सर्वात महत्वाची आहे. या सर्वात मौल्यवान संपत्तीसाठी आरोग्य किंवा संपत्ती, ना कीर्ती किंवा स्थिती ही त्या व्यक्तीला पर्याय असू शकत नाही. बर्‍याच लोकांचे आरोग्य चांगले आहे आणि तरीही त्यांना वाईट वाटते कारण त्यांचे मन शांत नसते. माणूस अमाप संपत्ती साठवतो पण मानसिक शांती नसतानाही तो त्याचा आनंद घेऊ शकत नाही. योग व्यायामामुळे ही समस्या सुटते.

Living is an art. It is the most complicated art as it based upon the scientific application of the good principles of living, which govern the behavior and attitude of a human being. Life has various aims for various people, to some it is just empty dream, to others it is zeal, pleasure and duty. Some live for enjoyment. They would like to eat, drink and be merry without caring for tomorrow, which they think may not come. For them, life is not a serious journey through years. In actual life, however, there are very few people who can themselves enjoy so easily, for life is not just a bed of roses, it has many thorns around.

    जगणे ही एक कला आहे. जगण्याच्या चांगल्या तत्त्वांच्या वैज्ञानिक अनुप्रयोगांवर आधारित ही सर्वात गुंतागुंतीची कला आहे जी माणसाच्या वागण्यावर आणि वृत्तीवर नियंत्रण ठेवते. जीवनाचे विविध लोकांसाठी उद्दीष्ट असतात, काहींचे हे रिकामे स्वप्न असते, तर ते इतरांसाठी आवेश, आनंद आणि कर्तव्य असते. काही आनंद घेण्यासाठी जगतात. त्यांना उद्याची काळजी न घेता खाणे, पिणे आणि आनंद देणे आवडेल, जे त्यांना वाटेल की येऊ शकत नाही. त्यांच्यासाठी वर्षानुवर्षे जीवन हा एक गंभीर प्रवास नाही. वास्तविक जीवनात, तथापि, असे बरेच लोक आहेत जे स्वत: सहजपणे आनंद घेऊ शकतात, कारण जीवन फक्त गुलाबांचा पलंग नसून, त्यास अनेक काटेरी झुडुपे आहेत.
